DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa (WHP) — The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced that three people have been banned from all state casinos for gambling while children were left unattended in vehicles outside.
According to the Board, one of the individuals is an unnamed female who was gambling a the Hollywood Casino at the Penn National Race Course, located in Grantville.
The Board said she left a 12-year-old alone in a vehicle at the entrance of the casino for 15 minutes while she played slots.
The other two individuals left children unattended in vehicles outside of the Presque Isle Downs and Casino in Erie County.
“The Board’s actions serve as a reminder that adults are prohibited from leaving minors unattended in the parking lot or garage, a hotel, or other venues at a casino since it creates a potentially unsafe and dangerous environment for the children,” the Board wrote in a press release.
The Board reiterated that it is also illegal to leave minors unattended inside casinos.
In the press release, the Board also announced fines against Mountainview Thoroughbred Racing for several incidents, one of which occurred at a York County casino.
The company was fined $50,000 for three incidents at York County’s Hollywood Casino where three individuals younger than 21 were allowed to access the gaming floor.
