Two SF stores busted for operating as illegal gambling dens: police

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The San Francisco Police Department served search warrants at two San Francisco stores on Tuesday and found evidence of illegal gambling at both locations, SFPD said.

The retail stores were both on the 200 block of Leavenworth Street. The search warrants were a planned operation as part of an investigation into illegal gambling.

While serving the warrants, officers found illegal gambling machines, suspected drugs and paraphernalia, cash, stolen products and a gun.

The San Francisco Sheriff’s Office and the Army National Guard Counterdrug Taskforce contributed to the operation.

“SFPD will continue to prioritize efforts to address illegal operations by taking the suspects off the streets and holding individuals accountable,” SFPD said.
