A trusted travel agent will be going nowhere other than prison for the next 19 months, after he admitted plundering the accounts of his business to the tune of $400,000 to pay for his voracious online gambling habit.
Tim McLean, 39, was the co-director of the burgeoning online travel company Travel Execs, which offered bespoke travel agency services via expert consultants who would book flights, accommodation and experiences for customers.
