Tom Brady is the face of the NFL’s gambling policy. Kind of.

In a twist of irony, Brady, who is set to become a part owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, has been enlisted by the NFL to educate players on the dangers of gambling and breaking the league’s sports betting and gambling policy.

According to Mike Klis of 9News (Denver), Brady was filmed in the introduction to the league’s educational gambling video, during which he decries gambling and betting. In the video, per Klis, Brady emphasizes that one mistake can ruin an opportunity for players and teams alike.

To that end, some players have already had brushes with the NFL’s disciplinary arm in regards to the policy. In recent months, several NFL players have been suspended for violating the league’s gambling policy, including Lions budding star receiver Jameson Williams. Colts cornerback Isaiah Rodgers is also reportedly under investigation for violating the policy.

In 2022, then-Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley was handed a yearlong suspension for placing several bets on games in which he was not involved.

Brady is set to become a minority owner of the Raiders, joining Mark Davis and others in Sin City. He recently made it clear that he doesn’t plan to return to the field, despite rumors suggesting the opposite.

Suffice to say, who better to deliver this message to players than Brady? One of the NFL’s greatest players and culture-setters, Brady knows a thing or two about avoiding controversies and staying out of trouble.

(Well, except that one time.)
