NBA (0.75 Unit) New York Knicks/Miami Heat Over 209 (-110; Odds via Caesars): 2:30 PM CT on ABC
It took a couple games going over to finally move the needle on this total a little bit but that won’t stop me from taking the over here. Even if Jimmy Butler is on one leg now, the Heat just put up 105 points in his absence in a game they probably should have won. The Heat’s playoff games have averaged over 234 points per game, granted they were playing the fast paced Milwaukee Bucks in the first round. Regardless, anything under 210 in the NBA is always intriguing to me so I’m going to keep it simple and roll with the over here.
MLB (0.75 Unit) Minnesota Twins ML @ Cleveland Guardians (-115; Odds via Caesars): 5:30 PM CT on Bally Sports North
Much like yesterday, we are getting basically another pick ‘em game today here against Cleveland. My math and reasoning all points me towards an under but the homer in me is going to roll with the Twins instead. Sonny Gray just had one of the best Aprils in Twins history and I don’t think he’s going to slow down today. Gray’s sub 1 ERA will be tested by a Guardians lineup that has been less than proficient. The only problem is the Twins lineup has been almost just as bad lately. The Twins only needed 2 runs yesterday to get the win and I see more of the same here in what should be another Twins win.
