MLB (0.5 Unit) Colorado Rockies Team Total Over 5.5 (-110; Odds via Caesars): 3:10 PM CT on SportsNet RM
It’s a well-established trend at this point that the Rockies don’t hit on the road. That was mostly the case in their first two series in San Diego and Los Angeles, and a weak-looking offense is probably holding this total down to some degree. But when the Rockies play in Coors Field it’s a totally different story, and I think that bears out here.
It really helps to be facing Josiah Gray of the Nationals, who might actually be the most generous pitcher on a team that has Patrick Corbin. The Washington righty picked up where he left off from last season in his first start, allowing 5 runs to Atlanta as the Nats fell 7-1. It also helps Colorado that a strong wind is blowing out of Coors Field today, and against a team that has allowed 6.3 runs per game already this season, I’ll count on their bats to wake up at home.
