Well, what a series this has turned out to be. Just when it looked like the Celtics were ready to cave, the 76ers stars went back to being passive and opened the door for Boston to take this series back at home. The Celtics are 5-1 to this total at home and the one loss was by the hook in a total lackluster performance. Look for Boston to close this series behind a bounce back performance from Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

I’m still looking to this AL West series for value, but today I’m seeing plenty in the total. The Oakland Coliseum isn’t the best place to score runs, but these pitchers should surrender plenty on a day when it’s warm for Oakland with the wind blowing out to right.
Drew Rucinski for the A’s owns a sky-high 8.16 ERA and 2.09 WHIP, and has allowed a minimum of 5 runs in all of his starts this year. He has been absolutely crushed by left-handed batters, allowing a .500 average and 1.421 OPS. The Rangers have plenty of lefty and switch hitters to take advantage, plus they’re the second-highest scoring team against righties.
But Oakland should contribute here as well against Andrew Heaney who gets the start for Texas. He’s had trouble with the A’s in his career, giving up a .314 average and 1.026 OPS against their roster. As bad as Oakland is, they’re actually functional offensively against lefties like Heaney, ranking middle of the pack in most advanced metrics. Texas might do the bulk of the scoring here, and probably are a decent bet on the run line again, but I expect Oakland to contribute plenty and get over this total.
