The total revenue for gambling companies with a Swedish licence in 2022 increased by just over five per cent compared to 2021’s efforts.
The SEK27.4bn figure helped the commercial online gaming and betting industry in the country grow by just over six per cent.
During the fourth quarter of 2022, turnover was SEK7.2bn, an increase of 3.2 per cent year-on-year.
The number of people banned from gambling via the Spelpaus self-exclusion programme reached around 85,000 at the end of Q4 – a jump of five per cent compared to the previous quarter.
