Of those who responded to the Swedish Gaming Authority’s survey conducted in May this year, six per cent said they have intentionally played on a site that does not hold a Swedish licence in the last three months.

Four per cent unintentionally played on unlicensed platforms.

Furthermore, 14 per cent of the almost 4,000 respondents said they played online at least once a week, with number games and lotteries the most popular avenues of play online in Sweden.

Eleven per cent have used the self-exclusion register, Spelpaus.se, with a total of 86 per cent of people saying they know about the register.
