An investigation into the impact upon health from gambling has been launched by the London Assembly Health Committee.
The object is to “understand the extent of gambling harm in London,” says the introduction to the study.
It is designed to check on “how a person’s health may be negatively impacted by a problematic relationship with gambling, what support services are available to people suffering harms from gambling in London and what the mayor is doing to reduce the harms caused by gambling.”
Respondents are invited to comment by Wednesday, November 29. They should be anyone with experience or knowledge of the health impacts of gambling in the city with written evidence. The submissions should reach the committee through [email protected].
