Slotegrator breaks down the Canadian gambling market in latest educational video

Aggregator and iGaming solutions provider Slotegrator has released an educational video on its YouTube channel to provide more information on the Canadian gambling market. The video is in line with the company’s focus on educating operators about how to stay compliant in different gambling jurisdictions when they enter a new market.

The company said that its educational project Slotegrator Academy is “designed to provide all established and potential iGaming operators with important information about gambling markets and industry insights, as well as insider secrets for running a successful operation.”

The latest released video uncovers potential pitfalls, detailing Canadian gambling regulations. Ontario’s iGaming is booming in the wake of new legislation that opened the door for private operators to organize gambling activities earlier this year. “What do operators need to know in order to get a license, enter the market, and stay compliant with the newly introduced rules?”, such are the questions that the latest educational video covers.

In April 2022, the province’s government opened the market to online betting platforms and casino operators. Instead of a classic licensing process, the Alcohol and Gambling Commission of Ontario (AGCO) took two years to develop a special system that would make it possible to control and maintain the industry while making it liberal and competitive. Now, Ontario expects a net income of $75 million by 2025.

Both B2C and B2B companies can register at the AGCO. To do so, they must have their products and devices certified by an independent laboratory and provide a list of requested documents, pay the requisite fees, and sign an agreement with iGaming Ontario.

Describing these steps, the company explained that because “the license acquisition process is always complicated and raises a lot of questions, especially for newcomers to the industry,” in order “to spare entrepreneurs a headache and aggregate information from numerous sources, Slotegrator offers an easy-to-understand overview of the market and its pros and cons.”

More on the Canadian gambling market is also explained in an article by Slotegrator, and the company’s legal department is open for business advisory. Apart from that, Slotegrator helps operators acquire gambling licenses in other jurisdictions such as Curaçao, Malta, the UK, the Isle of Man, and more.
