Bhopal: Six policemen, including a head constable from a police station in Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh have been suspended after a video showed them gambling went viral.
According to sources, the footage, which appears to have been recorded around last Diwali, shows policemen from Kotwali, Dehat, Digaura, and Police Line gambling. Upon receiving the video on Monday, the SP Rohit Kashwani suspended a head constable and five constables linked to the incident.A probe has been ordered into the incident.
The investigation is focused on confirming the exact timing of the video and identifying all those present during the gambling session. Police say that around 12 people are visible in the video, and efforts are being made to trace and question the remaining individuals. Further action will be based on the findings of the investigation.
