Police Bust Gambling Racket, 5 Held | - Times of India

Hyderabad: Langar Houz police raided a fruits godown near pillar number 110 of PVNR Expressway and busted a gambling racket being operated from there on Tuesday.
The organiser of the gambling racket was identified as Md Samad (46).
Four others, identified as Firoz Miya, Md Saber, Samad, and Md Chand by the police officials were also caught while they were indulging in gambling.All the accused are fruit vendors,
Police seized `46,000 cash, six cell phones and playing cards from their possession.

Man duped of Rs 71k in sextortion racket, 1 held
A 23-year-old student from Rajasthan was arrested by Mumbai police for his involvement in a sextortion racket. The accused threatened to send obscene videos of a 57-year-old man to his contacts and extorted Rs 71,000 from him. The victim received a call from a woman on WhatsApp who later blackmailed him with his own nude video. The victim transferred money in multiple instalments before reporting the incident to the police. The police are currently searching for the accomplices of the arrested student.
