Phil Mickelson has said that his betting addiction made him oblivious to the “hurricane” raging around him as he issued a stark warning about the dangers of gambling.
The six-times major winner, 53, has previously admitted to being an addict, and the notorious gambler and Mickelson’s former associate Billy Walters recently claimed in his autobiography that the golfer had once lost $143,500 (about £115,000) in a single day.
