The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is assisting players with gambling disorders by enhancing tools for self-exclusion.

It has launched a more user-friendly online system which should make it easier for players to ban themselves from entering and gambling at Pennsylvania casinos.

Launched in 2006, the self-exclusion programme was expanded in 2017 after the passage of the Gaming Expansion Act. Three additional self-exclusion programs are now available for igaming (including online sports wagering), video gaming terminals (VGTs) at truck stops, and online fantasy sports.

While a person is self-excluding, gaming facilities and operators in the Commonwealth are obligated to refuse wagers and deny gambling privileges to that person.

Players on the list who are caught participating in gambling events in Pennsylvania may be charged with criminal trespass and have any gambling winnings confiscated.
