Online gambling operator bet365 will face the scrutiny of Australia’s financial crimes watchdog to check it is complying with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing rules.
The move by Austrac on Thursday followed the appointment of an external auditor to the British bookmaking company in late 2022. The same campaign against corporate gaming operators also examined the compliance of Sportsbet.
