Nine involved in gambling held from farmhouse

Indore: Neemuch police raided a farmhouse at Sediya village and arrested nine people, who were found involved in gambling, in a late-night operation.
Neemuch police had received a tip-off that a group of individuals, led by Harish Parwani alias Harish Pilot from Badhana and Azam Khan from Neemuch, were gambling at one Mahavir Singh Shaktawat’s farmhouse. Acting on the specific information, a police team, led by sub-inspector Gajendra Singh, reached the farmhouse in Semli Chandrawat area.Upon arrival, they surrounded the area and found 10-11 individuals gambling. Three of them managed to flee into nearby fields, but the remaining nine individuals were arrested from the spot.
The arrested accused were identified as Lokesh Teli, Ghisa Lal Suthar, Santosh Teli, Pankaj Jain, Shahid Khan, Naushad Khan, Girish Jain, Arif Ahmed, and Saddam Khan.They informed the police that the individuals, who had fled, were Harish Pilot, Azam Khan, and Mahavir Singh Shaktawat, the owner of the farmhouse.
The police recovered a total of Rs 27,140 in cash along with decks of playing cards from the scene. A formal seizure report was filed and the suspects were booked under Section 13 of the Gambling Act.
