A Mid-West addiction councillor says the number of female gamblers has increased significantly over the last five years.
With the Cheltenham Festival in full swing this week, it’s one of the busiest weeks of the year for the gambling industry.
Supporting a call from Labour Party Senator Mark Wall for tougher curbs to address gambling advertising, Michael Guerin, who works at Cuan Mhuire addiction treatment centre, says the issue is continually escalating.
