HOLLYWOOD, CA — A man was shot and killed early Wednesday morning during an attempted robbery at an illegal casino in the Cahuenga Pass, according to several reports.

Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to the 3300 block of Cahuenga Boulevard, on the west side of the 101 Freeway, Wednesday at around 4 a.m., where they found the fatally wounded man, according to Officer Rosario Cervantes.

Fox 11 reported that two armed and masked men entered the club from the rear entrance where they confronted a 33-year-old security guard. After the security guard went to pull out his gun, he was shot by at least one of the suspects multiple times, police said.
