GAMBLING – JAKARTA. The Indonesian government is intensifying its efforts to combat online gambling. On Wednesday (22/5), President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) held a limited meeting with several ministers to discuss the eradication of online gambling.

Communications and Information Minister Budi Arie Setiadi stated that his department is continuously coordinating with all platforms such as Google and Meta. From their analysis, there has been a change in the keyword (keyword) for gambling on Google with as many as 22,241 keywords and on Meta, there are 2,637 new keywords.
