An oval table, in a bare living room, and seven non-EU citizens playing cards. This is the scene that the police found in a building on Nino Bixio Street in Casandrino: an illegal gambling den. Seven men of Indian, Pakistani, and Bangladeshi origins have been reported. The stakes at the center of the table were piles of cash and banknotes of all denominations. The players noticed the police when they were already around them. They tried to hide the money in vain. Over 1200 euros and 5 decks of cards were seized. They were all reported for illegal gambling.
