When asked why she left her children alone, Floyd claimed that they were supposed to be picked up by a relative but they were running late, according to a criminal complaint.
Troopers say they were made aware of a vehicle on the “B” Level in the casino’s parking garage with multiple unattended children. Upon finding the vehicle, a gray Dodge Caravan, Troopers say it was running with its lights on.
Inside the vehicle were three children, ages 12, 11 and 2. State Police say they asked the children why they were alone and they said they were waiting for Floyd who was in the casino, and even though they were able to call her, they couldn’t get in touch with her recently.
Floyd was found playing a Roulette game and was questioned by Troopers.
It was determined she left the children alone for two hours after State Police saw the time she entered the casino by reviewing security footage.
Floyd’s license was also suspended at the time, meaning she was not legally allowed to drive, the complaint notes.
Floyd faces a felony charge of engendering the welfare of a child and summary charges of leaving a child alone and operating a vehicle while license is suspended.
She is out on unsecured bail set at $5,000 and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Nov. 26.
