MISSOULA, Mont. — Commercial gaming in the United States set a new record for revenue for the third year in a row.
According to the American Gaming Association, total revenue from land-based casino games, sports betting and iGaming hit $65.52 billion in 2023, up 10% from 2022.
In Quarter 4 alone there was $17.42 billion in revenue, up 9.5% from 2022. December hit a single-month high of $6.22 billion.
In Montana, revenue totaled $8.4 million in 2023, up 17.8% from 2022. In Quarter 4, revenue totaled $2.8 million, up 18.3% from the year before.
The American Gaming Association expects total revenue to approach $110 billion when the National Indian Gaming Commission releases its numbers later this year.
