MHOW: Manawar police of Dhar busted a gambling racket and arrested seven people on Saturday night.
Based on specific information that some persons were gambling on the banks of Maan river at Bhardupur village, a raid was carried out at the place. Sensing police nearby, the accused tried to run away but seven were caught. Also Rs 78,830 cash, six bikes and playing cards were seized from them.They were booked under section 13 of Gambling Act, Manawar police station sub-inspector Rahul Chohan told TOI.
The accused – Sunil Chohan of Maheshwar, Imtiyaz Khan of Barwani, Saifuddin of Kukshi, Rahul Malviya, Karan Adiwal, Santosh Adiwal and Jitendra Adiwal of Manawar – were released on bail from the police station on Sunday afternoon. tnn
