Gambling laws and regulations are different in every country, and it’s always beneficial to know the rules when you start playing.

Australia has strict gambling regulations in place which means that gambling companies must have a business in the country, as well as a bank account to hold players’ deposits.

Furthermore, The Interactive Gambling Act effectively makes online gambling illegal in the country.

Offshore casinos are not permitted to advertise or offer their services to Australian residents.

Internet Service Providers in the country have been asked to block access to known gambling websites, which can make it difficult to access these sites.

New Zealand is undergoing something of an evolution in its gambling regulations at the current time.

They want a regulatory framework in place by 2026, intend to auction off licenses, and will allow restricted advertising.

However, the changes will not include sports betting. Under the current rules, online gambling cannot be provided domestically, which means players must use offshore casinos and offshore websites to bet online.
