Baroness Fiona Twycross has been named as the new UK Gambling Minister, making up a new team at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).

Baroness Twycross is a former London Assembly member (2010-2020) and was London’s Deputy Mayor for Fire and Resilience under Sadiq Khan.

It means that Stephanie Peacock, who was previously tipped for the post, is now Minister for Sport, Media, Civil Society and Youth, with just gambling moving to Baroness Twycross. The move gives gambling greater emphasis with its own minister.
