I am writing to express my strong displeasure with the invasion by the gambling lobby of our public broadcasting services.
For the past six months, NHL hockey games have been infiltrated with promotions of gambling associated with this sport.
Needless to say the impact on young people and middle age people is very negative indeed.
I realize that this is a result of a provincial government initiative to allow, support, promote and publicize online gambling. Rest assured I will be contacting my MPP Christine Hogarth and the Premier of Ontario about my concerns.
This activity of promoting gambling during NHL hockey broadcasts is all wrong. This is a form of brainwashing. It is extremely unhealthy and it is a major concern.
