Coronation Street’s Ed Bailey is set to face even more gambling temptation after his Christmas confession in upcoming scenes of the long-running soap.
With Ed’s secret addiction to gambling exposed to his family over the festive period, he teams up with returning villain Damon Hay in an unexpected alliance going into 2024.
As the pair work on their project – the renovation of the bar before the builder’s yard is sold – Damon hands Ed an envelope of cash to buy supplies.

Despite Damon’s villainous past, he’s completely oblivious to the temptation he’s literally handed to Ed after his gambling relapse, which saw the Baileys lose many of their Christmas presents.
Dee-Dee Bailey informs Damon that her father is a gambling addict, and cannot be subjected to any undue stress while working for him.
Damon immediately begins to panic, thinking of the large wad of cash he has placed in Ed’s hands. Will the Bailey patriarch be able to resist temptation?

2024 is set to bring even more chaos to the cobbles with a whole host of spoilers already announced.
Recently introduced Bobby Donovan (Carla Barlow’s nephew) has a huge storyline coming up, and Daisy Midgeley and Bethany Platt will battle for Daniel Osbourne, after Bethany returns on New Year’s Eve and spends the night her old flame.
Paul Foreman’s tragic death is also likely to air in 2024, after doctors told him he had six to 12 months left to live in November 2023.
Linda Hancock will also return, while Liam’s bullying ordeal is resolved and a dark cloud hangs over The Rovers…
