Cardi B split with husband Offset last December, Media Take Out reported. And now a new report just hit the news wire, Offset owes more than $2M in back taxes.
Media Take Out confirms that Cardi’s soon-to-be-single Offset, 32, was hit with a federal tax lien of $1,575,266.00 on April 23.
According to a court clerk, the debt remains open and unpaid, and Cardi’s name is not attached to that lien.
In another lien, this one filed with the state of California, Offset appears to owe another $32,963.
That secondary lien was just filed weeks ago on June 11.
Cardi, 31, filed for divorce from her husband of seven years a second time, this week. Media Take Out spoke with a person close to the couple, who told us that Offset’s excessive gambling has caused a rift in the couple’s marriage.
In recent months, Offset has begum betting with his friend, professional sports better Sean Perry. Perry is known for placing millions of dollars a week on basketball and football games.
