Two of Australia’s leading public health academics sent a letter to the Communications Minister Michelle Rowland, asking to be given access to the same level of ministerial briefings as betting and media companies have over the Government’s proposed online gambling reforms.
There have been reports that sporting administrators, sports betting companies and media organisations have all met with the Communications Minister in the past week as part of consultations over a potential ban on gambling ads.
