GMB – Congratulations on the event. What is your assessment of this set that affiliates, operators and other stakeholders in this segment brought to Sao Paulo?
Flavio Raimundo – In 2013 we launched Afiliados Brasil, which is now ten years old. And we decided to simultaneously launch Gambling Brasil, which is an important vertical focused on the gambling area. It is a market that is growing a lot in the country and will grow a lot more, since it worth billions. That is why we created Gambling Brasil, focused, of course, on affiliation in this segment, happening together with the event that we created ten years ago.
What was seen both in the corridors and in the stands of the affiliates and gambling areas, the great interest of people interested in working in this market. Did the event then fulfill its objectives?
Yes, definitely. People came for business in many ways. Affiliates in the form of monetization as well as providers of products and services to the industry, in addition to solution providers. But mainly affiliates, who are our large audience and where we have our entire base. People came looking for monetization and to find business and earn money from affiliation.
And are these people and companies already able to understand the gambling sector? Are they learning and will they have the necessary training to be successful in the gaming area?
They are understanding. We already have many people working in the affiliation area in the gaming sector and who have even sought knowledge internationally. So, this event and others that will come soon are very good to bring the two ends closer together. Before, many people went to events of this type abroad because there was nothing of the kind in Brazil. Now there are, and these people are having this opportunity. During three days we had very high level lectures focused on gambling, monetization in the sports betting sector, bet and casinos.
Not to mention the stream itself. You certainly broke all attendance records!
Yes. We don’t have final numbers yet, but we believe in something around 8,000 people, while last year we had around 5,800. That is, a growth of approximately 40% and with a tendency to grow much more in the future.
