ItsSliker admits to scamming streamers for gambling money

A Twitch streamer stated that he was scamming his followers to pay off his gambling debts.

Multiple people in the streaming community, both content creators and viewers, have come forward to accuse ItsSliker of scamming them out of thousands of dollars. Even big names like Felix “xQc” Lengyell and Tyler “Trainwreck” Niknam have openly admitted to getting messages from ItsSliker asking for money with empty promises to pay them back. Some content creators stated they have not received money back for years.

Twitch streamer mikelpee said that ItsSliker once begged him and others to send funds to his bank account since it was allegedly “locked.” Other streamers joined in after mikelpee’s clip went viral. On his own stream, YouTuber lukeafk said he lost $27,000, stating that he thought he could “trust him.” But lukeafk is still waiting for his money back.

ItsSliker responds to allegations that he stole from other streamers

As the accusations kept mounting against ItsSliker, the streamer came forward about all of the money requests and unpaid loans from friends.

On September 18, he went on stream to discuss the situation. He immediately started crying as he apologized to his viewers and his fellow streamers for what he’d done, promising to finally come clean.

According to ItsSliker, he has become addicted to gambling, the reason behind asking for cash. He said his addiction started with skins in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. But soon, ItsSliker was gambling with his actual money, almost using “all [his] Twitch money.”

ItsSliker would tell viewers on his streams that he “used” to gamble, knowing he was continuing to secretly gamble. ItsSliker said that he would “come across streamers” and ask to borrow money without giving them a real reason, embarrassed that it was for gambling.

Despite admittedly lying to get money from unknowing victims, ItsSliker said that he “never intended” to scam people. He told his viewers that he has plans to give people their money back. ItsSliker allegedly owes Trainwreck $100,000. Over time, the two have grown apart over the money issues between them.

“This is what gambling has done for me…S— is dangerous. This is the epitome of a f—ing gambling addict,” he said

ItsSliker said that he was going to get help for his gambling problem. Gambling has become a hot-button issue among Twitch streamers and viewers. Other streamers have also admitted to becoming addicted to gambling, including xQc. Gambling on stream has left a bad taste in many people’s mouths since young, impressionable fans may be inspired to also start gambling on sites that streamers are sponsored by.
