Doha, Qatar: Competent authorities at the Ministry of Interior (MoI), represented by both Al Rayan and Al Shamal Security Departments, were able to apprehend a person who had used his residence as a gambling ring as well as others.

Having been granted authorization by the Public Prosecution to sweep the premise, 19 Arab, Asian and European suspects were caught in the act, in possession of QR174,508 and $10,200, in addition to other currencies.

Gambling paraphernalia was also seized from the residence, as well as alcoholic drinks.

The suspects and the confiscated items have all been referred to the Public Prosecution.
