MLB (1 Unit) Texas Rangers -1.5 @ Oakland A’s (-110; Odds via Fanduel): 3:07 PM CT on FS1
I’m not sure why FS1 wants to put this A’s train wreck on air, but more people will now be able to see just how bad they are. The same basic principles apply from yesterday, especially the general one of Oakland being the worst team in baseball with the worst average margin. And with the Rangers owning the best record to the run line in the majors, this becomes an auto-play given the pitching matchup.
That also benefits Texas here, as they’ll face another lefty in JP Sears. While he hasn’t been truly awful, Sears still gives up plenty of runs and should have trouble with a Rangers lineup that can flex to attack his troublesome splits. And Jon Gray should hold down the A’s here who have a cumulative .190 average against him, and really struggle against right-handed pitching in general. The division-leading Rangers have to take advantage of these games, so I see another easy win for them.
