Another Detroit Lions player who was suspended for violating the NFL’s gambling policy has been cut by the team.
The Lions shared on Tuesday that wide receiver Stanley Berryhill had been waived along with cornerback Mac McCain and defensive lineman Demetrius Taylor.
Along with wide receivers Jameson Williams and Quintez Cephus and safety C.J. Moore, Berryhill was one of four Detroit players suspended by the NFL last month for gambling infractions.
Cephus and Moore received indefinite suspensions for gambling on NFL games, while Williams and Berryhill received six-game suspensions for mobile betting on non-NFL games while at a team facility.
The Lions cut Cephus and Moore at the time of the suspensions, while Berryhill remained with the team until Tuesday. The team did not specify that the suspension was the reason why Berryhill was being released.
Williams, a 2022 first-round pick, is now the only Detroit player left with the franchise who was suspended.

Washington Commanders Shaka Toney was the other NFL player who received an indefinite suspension for a gambling violation in April. He was not released by Washington at the time of the infraction notice.
