MLB (1 Unit) Minnesota Twins -1.5 @ Chicago White Sox (+100; Odds via Caesars): 6:10 PM CT on Bally Sports North

I’m loving the Joe Ryan breakout this season, and I think it carries the Twins to another comfortable win here. I’m also selling hard on this White Sox team in general after their 8-21 start and 12-17 record on the run line. Ryan as a right-hander is exactly what Chicago doesn’t want to see, as they’re 24th in weighted runs created, 25th in OPS, and 26th in weighted on-base average against righties.

And the Twins should further the struggles for Chicago starter Michael Kopech today, and that’s the biggest angle here. Kopech has been atrocious overall, with very poor underlying metrics. His ERA of 7.01 would be bad enough if he wasn’t overperforming his 9.86 expected ERA. The opposing team has averaged 7 runs in his starts, and that would be plenty for Ryan and the Twins to win this by margin.
