Sergei Pavlovich is just a few hours away from headlining his first UFC event. Judging by his pre-fight actions, he must be feeling quite lucky heading into the contest.
With his only professional loss coming in his UFC debut, Russia’s own Pavlovich is riding a ton of momentum into his UFC Vegas 71 main event against Curtis Blaydes. Not only is he riding a five-fight winning streak in the UFC, but he has finished every single one of those five opponents, with his most recent wins being against Tai Tuivasa and Derrick Lewis.
Sergei Pavlovich Hits Slots Before Hitting Curtis Blaydes
Everybody has their own ritual when it comes to how they get in the right mental state for a fist fight, and Sergei Pavlovich is no different. Although while some fighters may meditate, or sleep, or even play video games, the Russian heavyweight had different plans.
Just mere hours before he was set to walk out to his first ever main event against a killer in Curtis Blaydes, Pavlovich was seen by none other than Alan Jouban in what appears to be the hotel casino. Here, he can be seen relaxing at a slot machine, apparently all alone.
It is wild to think that in just a few hours time, Sergei Pavlovich will be in the Octagon fighting one of the best heavyweights in the world, but rather than stressing over the fight he seems to be having fun in the casino. Everyone has their process, but it certainly does not seem that he is nervous about facing Curtis Blaydes later in the evening.
UFC Fight Night: Sergei Pavlovich vs Curtis Blaydes goes down on April 21, 2023, with the main card starting at 7pm EST, on ESPN+. Stay tuned to MMA News for updates and results as the event unfolds.
