British gambling co IGT completes buy of iSoftBet's Romanian ops

BUCHAREST (Romania), September 8 (SeeNews) – London-based and New York-listed International Game Technology (IGT) has completed the acquisition of iSoftBet’s Romanian operations, deal advisor Nestor Nestor Diculescu Kingston Petersen (NNDKP) said on Thursday.

The transaction was part of a bigger deal that also included iSoftBet’s operations in Cyprus, Malta, the Czech Republic and Great Britain, NNDKP said in a press release.

IFT announced in April that it is acquiring iSoftBet for approximately 160 million euro ($160 million) in cash. The purchase will more than double the IGT PlayDigital content library to about 225 proprietary games, the buyer said in a press release at the time.

London-based iSoftBet is an igaming content provider and third-party game aggregator with a portfolio of approximately 125 proprietary games and more than 4,600 third-party games through its game aggregation platform. With primary office locations in England, Malta and Romania, and approximately 350 employees and contractors, iSoftBet has approximately 260 igaming operators as customers. The company has approximately 10,500 employees.
