ECU cuts ribbon on new gambling research center

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — ECU cut the ribbon on its new gambling research and policy initiative epicenter Thursday.

The initiative gives ECU the chance to partner with state agencies, lottery commission officials, educators and court systems to make sure gambling regulation is better understood.

“Gambling Research and Policy Initiative is a new research hub for understanding how gambling impacts people from all different backgrounds here in North Carolina, but also nationally and internationally,” Director of the Gambling Research and Policy Initiative at ECU Dr. Michelle L. Malkin said.
