The I&B Ministry issued a fresh advisory to media platforms and online advertisement intermediaries on advertisements including surrogate advertisements of online betting and gambling platforms. The government discouraged advertisements of a betting platform in which the audience is being encouraged to watch a sports league on its platform. The advisory prima facie called this a case of piracy.
