Four people were arrested during a search of an illegal gambling parlor in Long View, according to police.
The Long View Police Department searched the Longview Internet store on Tuesday with the help of local and state law enforcement agencies. The search warrant was part of an investigation into illegal gambling at the establishment, Long View police said in a news release.
Investigators seized more than 100 video gaming hard drives, video surveillance equipment, one firearm and an undisclosed amount of cash, Long View police said.
William “Bill” Edgar Mudd Jr., 53, of Lenoir, is charged with felony operate more than five video gaming machines, misdemeanor gambling, misdemeanor manufacture or sell a slot machine, misdemeanor operate or possess a slot machine, misdemeanor electronic sweepstakes and misdemeanor employing an unregistered armed security guard, Long View police said.

Tasha Marie Allen, 37, of Granite Falls, is charged with felony operate more than five video gaming machines, misdemeanor gambling, misdemeanor manufacture or sell a slot machine, misdemeanor operate or possess a slot machine and misdemeanor electronic sweepstakes, Long View police said.
Michael Stone, 75, of North Wilkesboro, is charged with misdemeanor performing armed security guard services without registration or permit, Long View police said.
Chariety Danielle Key, 38, of Hickory, is charged with misdemeanor larceny, Long View police said.
Mudd received a $15,000 secured bond. Allen was given no bond. Stone was released with a written promise to appear in court. Key was given a $5,500 secured bond.
This is an active investigation and further charges are anticipated, Long View police said.

The North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement, North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Catawba County Sheriff’s Office, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office and the Long View Fire Department assisted in the search, Long View police said.
