Bhopal/Jabalpur: The Madhya Pradesh High Court dismissed application of the state government to revoke its order to enact a law to regulate online gambling and directed that the draft of law on online gambling should be presented in the court in a week’s time and court should also be apprised when it would be tabled in the House for consideration and ratification.
Expressing displeasure over delay in enacting law to regulate online gambling, the bench of Justice Vivek Agrawal said that in place of presenting draft of the law for the purpose in the state assembly, the state government has presented an application in the court to revoke its order to enact a law to regulate online gaming within three months.
