How to complete A Gambling Man in Octopath Traveler 2
You can begin A Gambling Man by speaking to the Concerned Wife in New Delsta: Backstreets. A cutscene will play showing the wife and her husband arguing over his gambling addiction with him insisting he will win big at the game parlor. She wants him to stop before the addiction consumes him and it’s too late to go back.
From the Concerned Wife, go northeast all the way up the long street. The New Delsta: Game Parlor will be at the end of this street. Switch to daytime, enter the parlor, and head to the large backroom with a stage. There will be a Dealer to the left of the stage who you’ll need to extract information from to complete A Gambling Man in Octopath Traveler 2.
Use either Castti’s Inquire or Oswald’s Scrutinize Path Action on the Dealer to question him. Doing so will reveal that the parlor is cheating and scamming its customers using manipulated outcomes. If successful, you’ll glean the ‘Truth of the Game Parlor’ information.
It’s time to return to the Concerned Wife who gave you this side story. Interact with the Concerned Wife again and tell her what you found out from the Dealer. After initially disagreeing, the Gambling Husband will eventually admit defeat and promise to quit gambling. Once the cutscene ends, you’ll have completed A Gambling Man in Octopath Traveler 2. The reward for completing this side story is x1 Victory Ring and x1 Energizing Pomegranate.
