The gambling sector in Lithuania has steadily grown in the first six months of 2024, with total gambling revenue reaching €116m, a year-on-year increase of 6.9 per cent.

At €35m, the land-based casino sector was actually down by 4.6 per cent, or €1.7m, year-on-year. However, the online sector more than made up for this, with a revenue of €81m.

The Lithunian Parliament voted in June to increase a tax on gambling operators by two per cent. This will take effect in 2025.
