Kick the gambling ad habit that’s doing damage

Gambling addiction is rightly viewed first and foremost as the harm done to Australians.

But the reality is that sporting clubs and codes, radio and television broadcasters, and governments are also hooked on the advertising revenue and taxes generated by a gambling industry that costs Australian punters $25 billion in losses each year. It’s an addiction that is making it hard for the Albanese government to crack down on the gambling advertising that inflames problem gambling.
