Nagpur: In a bid to curb illegal activities, the Nagpur City Police have taken stringent action against individuals engaging in liquor sales, gambling, and drunken driving.
Under the Prohibition of Liquor Act, the police registered one case and seized Rs. 900/-. Moreover, two persons were charged Rs. 1,425/- under the Maharashtra Gambling Ban Act.
The Transport Branch police also took action against 4,167 motorists, fining them a total of Rs. 5,44,600/- under various sections of the Motor Vehicle Act.
This crackdown on illegal activities is part of the Nagpur Police’s efforts to maintain law and order in the city. The police are committed to taking strict action against anyone engaging in illegal activities and urge citizens to cooperate with them in their efforts.
