RISON – Former Kingsland City Treasurer Sandra Leann Huntley, 41, of Kingsland, who order to pay restitution to the city after pleading guilty to misusing a city credit card in 2019, was among those arrested last week for allegedly running a gambling house in Warren.Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin issued a statement last Tuesday, July 9, listing Huntley among five people arrested on charges related to illegal gambling at two locations in Bradley County.After a months-long investigation during which probable cause was established that illegal gambling was taking place at Spanky’s Club in Bradley County and Que Lindo Michoacan in Warren, Griffin reported that warrants were executed at both locations last Monday, July 8. The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, the Warren Police Department, the Office of the Attorney General, Arkansas State Police, and the 10th Judicial Drug Task Force were involved.Huntley, Kaysie Miskell, 44, of Pine Bluff, and Shony Penister, 36, of Warren, were arrested for allegedly running an illegal gambling operation at Spanky’s on Hwy. 8 just north of Warren. Each was charged with one count of Keeping a Gambling House, according to the attorney general’s office. State law classifies Keeping a Gambling House as a Class D felony, which is punishable by zero to six years in prison, and/or a fine not to exceed $10,000.In addition to those three suspects, Keithron Gibbs, 39, of Warren, was arrested and charged with one count of Gaming Devices-Betting, a violation classified as neither a felony nor a misdemeanor. Authorities seized $24,150 and confiscated 41 electronic gambling machines at Spanky’s, according to the attorney general’s office.Pablo Ceja, 32, of Warren, was arrested at Que Lindo Michoacan, a Mexican grocery store located at 600 West Central Street in Warren.
