National Problem Gambling Awareness Month aims to raise awareness, let people know about available treatments

HARRISBURG, Pa. – Pennsylvania state officials want to remind people that if you have a gambling problem, there is help out there.

March is National Problem Gambling Awareness Month. The theme for this year is “Every Story Matters.”

The designation of “Problem Gambling Awareness Month” is to increase public awareness and let people know about available treatments.

Officials also want to stress to health care providers to screen patients for problem gambling.

If you feel you have a problem, you can call Pennsylvania’s hotline 24 hours a day, at 1-800-GAMBLER.
