If you’ve ever lost money playing pull tabs at the Maple Lake American Legion you might not see it as a place of charity and philanthropy, but the truth is, your loss is the community’s gain.
Charitable gambling at the American Legion Post 131 has provided thousands of dollars to local organizations and programs over the past year, from $1,000 worth of Bingo prizes for the Annandale Care Center to a covered trailer for the Maple Lake Boys Scouts, and everything in between.
