The UK Gambling Commission has introduced a new online service called “Tell us something in confidence,” allowing individuals to report criminal and suspicious activities related to online gambling anonymously.
This one-stop service is distinct from the Commission’s complaint services and focuses specifically on suspicious online gambling behavior. Users can submit reports for concerns such as unlicensed gambling, criminal activity, money laundering, match fixing, sports betting integrity issues, and underage gambling. While the reports can be submitted anonymously, users also have the option to provide their details if they wish to be contacted further.
Additionally, the service allows users to upload documents and photographs to provide more comprehensive information about the reported activity. This initiative aligns with the ongoing efforts to enhance data collection and regulatory measures in the UK gambling sector, as highlighted in the recent update from the Gambling Commission.
